This title offers a superbly illustrated look at the work of award-winning artist Mona Hatoum, including her latest site-specific work in Venice. Mona Hatoum is a Palestinian artist who came to prominence in the 1990s with a collection of works focused on confrontational themes such as violence and oppression. In 1995 she was shortlisted for the Turner Prize, and in 2000, her work The Entire World as a Foreign Land was part of the launch of Tate Britain. In 2008, she was awarded the prestigious Rolf Schock Prize. Filled with superb full-colour illustrations this volume narrates and documents the genesis and evolution of the site-specific project created by Mona Hatoum for the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice.
