Der Autor zeigt auf der Grundlage von Piaget, wie sich die Zeitgestalten in der Kindheit entwickeln. Er legt dabei in Auseinandersetzung mit dem Neukantianismus eine systematische Theorie der konkreten SubjektivitÃ¤t vor. In Auseinandersetzung mit der Theorie sozialer Systeme (insbesondere Luhmann) definiert er die Begriffe System, Handlung, Moral und ihre funktionalen Ã„quivalente AnschluÃŸrationalitÃ¤t, Recht und Liebe neu als Zeitstrukturen des Erlebens und der Interaktion. Die entwickelten Begriffe von fÃ¼nf Zeitgestalten erweisen sich darin als fruchtbar, daÃŸ sie gewisse Schwierigkeiten in der Entwicklungstheorie Piagets lÃ¶sen, den Begriff der Operationen auf den Stand moderner Kognitionstheorie bringen und GrundzÃ¼ge einer Sprachtheorie im AnschluÃŸ an Wittgenstein herauskristallisieren.
