Die im vorliegenden Band versammelten Beiträge zielen darauf ab, Rahel Levin Varnhagens Texte sowie die damit verknüpften weitreichenden Lektüren und Kontexte in ihren materiellen, ästhetischen, poetologischen und soziohistorischen Dimensionen zu erkunden und vor dem Hintergrund romantischer Konzepte und epistolarer Kommunikationsformen zu diskutieren. Darüber hinaus gibt der Band Einblick in ausgewählte Handschriften (Tagebuch A) sowie in ein bislang unpubliziertes Ausgabenbuch der Romantikerin.
