Die Arbeit stellt die morphologischen, syntaktischen und textlinguistischen Gegebenheiten des Ron von Daffo dar, einer westtschadischen Sprache, die am SÃ¼drand des Jos-Plateaus in Zentralnigeria von ca. 10.000 Menschen gesprochen wird. Die Form der Darstellung folgt dabei keinem bestimmten theoretischen Modell. Das Ausgangsmaterial der Untersuchung bildet ein Korpus von Texten, die der Verfasser wÃ¤hrend zweier Forschungsaufenthalte im Winter 1989/90 und 1991 im Sprachgebiet der Ron aufgenommen hat. Die zahlreichen Beispiele im Buch stammen zumeist aus diesen Texten und werden jeweils mit einer Interlinear- und einer freien Ãœbersetzung dargeboten.
