Der vorliegende Sammelband enthalt zentrale Quellen und Untersuchungen, die aus der reichen spatmittelalterlichen Uberlieferung des Benediktinerinnenklosters Lune bei Luneburg geschopft sind: Die Edition des Statutenbuches (Hs. Lune, 14) prasentiert die liturgischen Ordines zur Aufnahme der Kandidatinnen, also die Einkleidung, die Profess nach den Regeln der Bursfelder Reform, die 1481 zu Lune eingefuhrt wurde, und die Jungfrauenweihe, die als 'Nonnenkronung' verstanden wurde, daruber hinaus Bestimmungen zu den klosterlichen Amtern, zu den Pflichten des Propstes und zum Speiseplan. Das Tagebuch der Mechthild Wilde (Hs. Lune, 24) berichtet von ihrer Wahl zur Priorin im Jahre 1504 und den ersten Wochen ihrer Amtszeit. Die Studie 'Netzwerke der Propste' analysiert die Karrierewege der Luner Propste, namentlich ihre Bestrebungen, sich zu Rom mit eintraglichen Stiftspfrunden providieren zu lassen, und konfrontiert dazu ihre Briefe mit Nachrichten aus den romischen Supplikenregistern.
