This is a story about an electrician called Sid, who the villagers of Scratchit nicknamed Sparky. He is a kind obliging man, very popular with all the residents and very well known. Being the only electrician in the village, Sparky is kept very busy - especially by the village school, which is a very old building. The electrics are always causing problems, so the headmistress, Miss Skinner, relies heavily on Sparky and they have a special friendship. The vicar of Scratchit, Reverend Plum, is another good customer. Sparky is called frequently to the church as the heating system is always breaking down or the lights fusing. All in all Sparky had a very happy life. One busy day Sparky was called to the church and the school. This is the story of what happened on that day and how Sparky had an amazing adventure.
