| book description |
A big number book featuring delightful number songs by Rachel Hussain and appealing whimsical illustrations by Mary Kilvert. The book and songs introduce a new and exciting way for young children to use and apply their number understanding, connecting Numicon maths shapes and activities with images of the seaside. Below are some samples of some of the spreads from the book. Big Book- The Numicon at the Seaside Big Book comes with four small sized copies of the book, a CD of the ten songs and a Teaching Guide, giving the words and music and suggestions for questioning and discussion and photocopy activities for school and homework. Numicon at the Seaside is designed to work with the Numicon Firm Foundations Kit to help children aged 4-5 develop an rich understanding of number ideas by directly connecting Numicon Shapes and patterns, numerals and counting around the theme of the seaside, in other words to help develop in children rich concept images of number ideas 1-10.
